Tawas Bay Yarn Company offers you a unique shopping experience. Established in 1998 in Tawas City, Michigan on the shore of Lake Huron.

The shop has a wide variety of both domestically manufactured and imported yarns. Selections include novelty and traditional yarns, as well as exotic blends and dish cloth cotton.

The shop's magazine racks and book shelves are filled with every current publication on knitting. You'll also find a complete selection of patterns from today's most notable designers.

If you're looking for needles or notions to complete your latest project, Tawas Bay Yarn Co. has needles of every size and style, buttons for the perfect accent, and unique do-dads for the knitting enthusiast.

Tatting Class Schedule for 2013

4 Weekly Sessions Per Class:

Tues - Feb 5, 12, 19, 26 from 2-4 pm

Sat - Mar 2, 9, 16, 23 from 1-3 pm

Mon - June 3, 10, 17, 24 from 6-8 pm

Sat - July 6, 13, 20, 27 from 12-2 pm

Thurs - Oct 3, 10, 17, 27 from 1-3 pm

Supplies can be purchased at the Tawas Bay Yarn Shop prior to or on the first day of class. You will need a plastic tatting shuttle, Catania Cotton (not a dark color), booklet "Learn to Tat" by Rosemary Peel.

You will learn the 5 Steps to Tatted Lace which include: Tatted knot, Chain, Picot, Ring, and Join

First Session of class is mandatory!

Our instructor is allegeric to scents, please refrain from using perfurmes or body lotions when coming to class.

A non-refundable deposit of $20 covers the cost (supplies not included) of the first session and reserves your spot in class.

Deposit will be refunded if we do not have a minimum of 3 students.
